We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Environmental Advisor to join our team at McDermott. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective HSE strategies and plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor HSE performance and provide guidance to site personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate HSE risks.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance HSE awareness and knowledge among employees.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain HSE procedures, policies, and guidelines.
  • Provide HSE support to project teams and ensure HSE considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Participate in HSE audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to stay informed about HSE trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the offshore construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and mentor HSE teams and train employees on HSE procedures and policies.
  • Valid offshore medical certificate and BOSIET training or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
