Position Overview

Role Summary:
This position involves professional responsibilities in assessing patient disabilities based on evidence-based practices, as well as planning and executing physical therapy interventions. The incumbent will maintain accurate documentation, educate patients and their families, and contribute to the development and management of clinical programs. Active participation in continuing education, departmental initiatives, and community outreach is expected.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnostic Assessment: Conduct both basic and advanced diagnostic evaluations in Physical Therapy to address mobility challenges and related conditions.
2. Educational Leadership: Mentor and supervise graduate Physical Therapy students and clinical fellows. Innovate programs aimed at improving patient care and serve as a resource for fellow clinicians in specialized areas.
3. Care Evaluation: Review and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic test results to set patient objectives and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Clearly communicate pertinent information to ensure seamless patient care.
4. Service Implementation: Utilize contemporary and advanced methodologies to deliver high-quality rehabilitative services. Provide habilitation and rehabilitation for individuals with mobility impairments, prioritizing care based on patient and family needs.
5. Community Engagement: Act as a resource for local health departments and professionals, present at community health events, and collaborate on new clinical programs to address emerging healthcare needs.
6. Team Participation: Enhance clinical service quality through active involvement in departmental meetings and training sessions.
7. Quality Assurance: Contribute to the integrity of clinical services by maintaining reliable records of patient care and participating in quality improvement initiatives alongside clinical specialists and healthcare teams.

Additional Information:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program is required.
Licensure:
Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina and hold BLS certification.
Experience:
No prior experience is necessary for this role.
Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated knowledge and abilities relevant to the position are essential.
