About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating clients with various mental health conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients by conducting interviews, examinations, and reviewing medical history to determine the nature and extent of their mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribed medications and psychotherapeutic methods, to help clients achieve their treatment goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as therapists and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate treatment plans.
- Provide psychiatric consultation, evaluation, and treatment as required, and assist in the development and implementation of follow-up treatment plans for clients in the community.
- Discharge clients and/or assist in the closing of cases in a timely manner, and maintain accurate and timely documentation of service provision.
- Physician licensed in the State of Kansas, Board certification in psychiatry, and DEA licensure.
- Knowledge of multi-disciplinary mental health treatment methods and psychiatric treatment in assigned areas.
- Ability to evaluate, develop, and implement plans in the care of clients, and work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team, courts, and referral sources.
- Ability to direct multi-disciplinary professional staff in the implementation of client care and treatment, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
This position requires standing or sitting for extended periods, manual dexterity for administering injections, typing/data entry, writing, lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds, driving for community mobility, and bending/stooping.
