This position is located in the Systems Readiness Directorate/ RAM Division of the United States Army Futures Command. The ideal candidate will serve as a Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineering and System Assessment Division Stockpile Reliability Program (SRP) Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide SRP technical guidance for US Army missiles in development and/or sustainment.
Serve as the SRP SME interface with AMCOM providing SRP budgeting requirements and execution and engineering support.
Develop project budgets, execution plans, assess progress and milestone accomplishments.
Provide guidance and technical evaluation of missile reliability / shelf life assessments and recommendations developed by missile system SRP engineers.

Education and Experience:

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Basic Requirements:

A degree in Engineering is required.
The program must lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET, or include differential and integral calculus and courses in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: statics, dynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical fields and circuits, and nature and properties of materials.
OR B. Combination of education and experience: college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.

Specialized Experience Statement:

To apply for this position as a DB-04, candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower level (DB-3 pay band or equivalent pay bands) in Federal service which includes experience in Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineering and system assessment.
Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone, no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Grade Requirement:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12/13).
