About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at Petco. As a key member of our veterinary hospital, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and providing a positive experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care through physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization
  • Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, and mass removals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest veterinary medical knowledge and best practices
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian in the state where the hospital is located
  • Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License (if applicable)
  • USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
