Diagnostic Sonography Role Overview

The Diagnostic Sonographer plays a critical role in assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures at Novant Health - Agency - Reddot's Scotts Hill Cardiac Imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for diagnostic scans and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate and effective diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Sonography or related field; ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sonography; NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire.
