Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Phlebotomy Trainee. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring accurate and timely specimen collection, and maintaining required records and documentation.
Responsibilities:- Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Collect blood samples from patients accurately and on time.
- Complete requisitions accurately and maintain required records and documentation.
- Call clients to confirm handwritten orders, verify test(s) ordered, and obtain accurate billing information.
- Research test/client information utilizing lab computer system or Directory of Service.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Package specimens for transport.
- Maintain all appropriate PSC/Phlebotomy logs.
- Assist with compilation of monthly statistics and data.
- Perform basic clerical duties as required by Quest Diagnostics.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Keyboard/data entry application experience.
- Experience in Customer Service.
- Medical training helpful but not required.
- Medical terminology helpful but not required.
