Job Title: Phlebotomy Trainee

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Phlebotomy Trainee. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring accurate and timely specimen collection, and maintaining required records and documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Collect blood samples from patients accurately and on time.
  • Complete requisitions accurately and maintain required records and documentation.
  • Call clients to confirm handwritten orders, verify test(s) ordered, and obtain accurate billing information.
  • Research test/client information utilizing lab computer system or Directory of Service.
  • Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
  • Package specimens for transport.
  • Maintain all appropriate PSC/Phlebotomy logs.
  • Assist with compilation of monthly statistics and data.
  • Perform basic clerical duties as required by Quest Diagnostics.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Keyboard/data entry application experience.
  • Experience in Customer Service.
  • Medical training helpful but not required.
  • Medical terminology helpful but not required.
