Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information and compare requisitions to physician orders to ensure exam accuracy.
  • Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, and communicate findings to physicians, demonstrating expertise in diagnostic medical sonography.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
Requirements
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within 3 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Education and Experience
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Sonography, including completion of an accredited or approved program.
  • No experience required, but ability to work independently and prioritize tasks is essential.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
