About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician Sr to join our team at Stericycle. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing all maintenance functions, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all buildings and grounds and all plant machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties and tasks in accordance with manufacturer and Stericycle procedures and with strict adherence to relative safety programs and standards, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Confined Space, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, etc.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluation on equipment and make repairs when needed, and be willing to be on-call and respond to urgent repairs.
  • Perform routine, preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on a variety of machinery within the plant, including autoclave process equipment/systems maintenance, air pollution control devices, air cooled condensers, spray condensers, recirculating systems, and carbon beds.
  • Perform light electrical maintenance on all plant equipment, including 480V/ 240V/ 120V/ 24V power systems, PLC, robotics troubleshooting, and 4 to 20 milliamp control loop systems.
  • Perform light to heavy fabrication, demonstrating proficient welding (arc/mig/tig), acetylene torch, plasma cutting, and grinding cutting skills.
  • Document results through completed work orders or in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) based on schedule and priority or as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested.
Requirements
  • 4 or more years of related experience and/or training, demonstrating the ability to identify repairs that are needed and to assure scheduled production run is met.
  • Use of forklifts, aerial-lifts, and various rigging equipment in the performance of maintenance activities.
  • Must have experience with the performance of LOTO out and permit confined space programs related to maintenance activities.
  • Possession of boiler, welding, or electrical certification or license is helpful.
  • Demonstrates the ability to ask questions and gather information in order to identify problems and repair or arrange for repair of machine.
  • Demonstrates the ability to think critically and remain calm during stressful situations.
  • Capable of working collaboratively in teams and alone.
  • Capable of providing feedback and participating in continuous improvement initiatives (Cause Analysis, Proactive solutions, threat detection, etc.).
  • Demonstrates the ability to function independently and resolve problems without direction.
