Lead Thermal Design Engineer

Dell Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Lead Thermal Design Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering Team in Austin, Texas or Hopkinton, Massachusetts. As a key member of our cross-functional engineering team, you will be instrumental in delivering advanced liquid cooling solutions for AI, HPC, and enterprise server markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop innovative thermal solutions for liquid cooling components, ensuring high reliability and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams to optimize cold plate design and coolant distribution solutions.
  • Develop and implement thermal design methodologies and tools to improve design efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure thermal design solutions meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of industry experience in thermal engineering, with 8+ years in a lead or senior design engineer role.
  • Expertise in internal fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and electronics cooling.
  • Experience with liquid cooling and/or cooling distribution units.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
