As a Certified Medical Assistant in our Pulmonary & Sleep Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals.

Your Role

Performs clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician and/or registered nurse. Responsibilities include:

  • Answering phones and responding to patient inquiries
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Taking and recording vital signs, collecting laboratory specimens, and preparing patients for examination
  • Reviewing discharge instructions with patients and/or their drivers

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
  • Current BLS certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a clinic setting, delivering exceptional customer service, and using EMR systems
