Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Randstad Life Sciences US. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests, maintaining quality control, and adhering to regulatory guidelines.

About the Role

This is a highly complex testing position that requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in medical technology and excellent analytical skills.

The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to maintain high-quality patient care and meet performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various laboratory tests, including specimen handling, processing, and analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct proficiency testing and instrument calibrations, ensuring compliance with department SOPs.
  • Review and release test results, identifying problems that may affect test performance or reporting.
  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field preferred; or Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing.
  • National certification as an MT/MLT from a recognized organization (ASCP or AMT) preferred.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate must be able to establish work priorities, handle multiple procedures simultaneously, and interact effectively with other departments and clients.

Good customer service skills and the ability to protect patient confidentiality are essential.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $48-$52 per hour, depending on location and experience.
