We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager who is open to working various shifts. This role involves overseeing skilled trades personnel to achieve the goals of the maintenance division within a dynamic, high-volume, unionized manufacturing setting.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating initiatives related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee morale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance throughput efficiency and manage both professional and emergency maintenance operations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, including both hourly staff and supervisors, on World Class Manufacturing methodologies for effective problem resolution and corrective action.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of maintenance strategies, including time-based maintenance (TBM), condition-based maintenance (CBM), and dynamic maintenance (DM).
- Influence critical performance metrics such as mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR), while ensuring equipment is maintained in optimal condition.
- Address production-related issues, including throughput and downtime, in collaboration with the Professional Maintenance Specialist when necessary.
- Supervise skilled trades personnel and collaborate with them to implement waste reduction strategies through World Class Manufacturing practices, including Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Professional Maintenance (PM), Quality Maintenance (QM), Focus Improvement, and People Development (PD).
- Lead and actively participate in kaizen projects aimed at improving Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and identifying waste reduction opportunities.
This position offers ongoing assignments with potential for extension based on performance.
