At University Hospitals, we are seeking a skilled Emergency Response Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities
---------------

* Assist patients and healthcare providers in emergency situations, including performing 12-lead EKGs, blood draws, and initiating Hep-locks.
* Conduct point-of-care testing, including quality control checks, defibrillator maintenance, and refrigerator checks.
* Transport patients and equipment as needed, while ensuring a safe and secure environment.
* Perform ABGs and gain IV access as directed by orders.
* Prepare patients and the care environment for exams, specimen collection, and anticipate the needs of patients and providers.
* Perform delegated basic procedures as described in the annual competency-based tool and orientation program.

Additional Responsibilities
------------------------

* Perform other duties as assigned by management.
* Comply with all policies and standards, including the safe and secure maintenance of Protected Health Information (PHI).
* Participate in annual training and adhere to the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures.
