Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide overall leadership and day-to-day on-site supervision of subcontractor and CM field labor forces.
  • Issue Management: Proactively manage project-related issues on assignment and provide superior customer service.
  • Team Collaboration: Work in tandem with the Project Manager to ensure timeliness of submittals and procurement of materials for the project in accordance with the schedule.
  • Quality and Safety: Manage QA/QC process in field and maintain OSHA and DOB safety compliance.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet annual goals and objectives set by management team and contribute to the growth of the company.
  • Technology Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all technology as required for assigned projects.
Essential Functions
  • Issue Management: Proactively manage project-related issues on account or assignment.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting customer and project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Teamwork: Team-oriented individual who will work collaboratively with the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and produce/distribute minutes.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide progress reports for schedule updates, including 2-3 week look-ahead schedules on a weekly basis.
  • Quality Control: Manage QA/QC process in field and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain OSHA and DOB safety compliance and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Technology Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all technology as required for assigned projects.
  • Change Order Management: Track potential change orders and collaborate with the Project Manager in maintaining accurate PCO log.
Requirements
  • NYC DOB Superintendent License
  • 5+ years of practical experience in a project superintendent role
  • Experience in construction management or real estate preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level management and customers
  • Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Procore preferred
