About the Role:The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing health and safety compliance projects, providing safety oversight, conducting risk assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, and compliance assurance programs for clients across various industries.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement innovative health and safety strategies in areas such as chemical safety, machine guarding, electrical safety, fire prevention, powered industrial vehicles, work at heights, emergency planning / response, personal protective equipment, hazard identification / risk analysis, Safety Management Systems, Industrial Hygiene Assessments, and technical support.
- IDentify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations / fire codes.
- Assist in collecting, reviewing, and analyzing field data to evaluate conditions, present information, and implement effective solutions.
- Support clients' desire to improve safety performance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.
- Participate as an enthusiastic team member on various project teams and effectively complete assignments.
- Prepare proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads. Maintain and grow client relationships to generate repeat business.
- Ensure the highest quality standards are met on project deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related science.
- 5+ years relevant experience working in regulatory compliance and health and safety compliance programs.
- Strong project management skills including proposal development, budgeting, invoice reviews, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Experience gathering and analyzing safety-related data.
- Experience working in high-tech, manufacturing, power, pharmaceutical, or chemical sector environments.
- Ability to deliver quality deliverables in fast-paced customer environments.
- Current or planned Certified Industrial Hygiene (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification. Other certifications like OHST, SMS, and CHST are highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to travel and work at client sites around North America.
