Job Summary

The Finish Carpenter I is a key member of the Plant Operations team at Laramie County Community College, responsible for maintaining and repairing campus buildings and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance to ensure the integrity of campus facilities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Respond to emergencies and support the overall upkeep of the campus.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Five years of experience in general carpentry/construction or commercial building maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to meet the college insurance carrier requirements.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Associate degree from an accredited institution in a related field of study.
  • Two years of door hardware and locksmith experience.
  • Two years of single ply and modified bit roofing experience.
  • Two years of underground utility locating.
  • Two years of welding experience.
