Job Summary:

Turner Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of site safety programs, ensuring subcontractor compliance with Turner safety standards, and maintaining contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform line and grade work for building layout and control as required.
• Assist in the implementation of site safety programs and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner safety standards and applicable safety codes and regulations.
• Maintain contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations.
• Assist in the preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs) and review work as it is being placed to ensure accuracy within accepted tolerances.
• Review contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.
• Assist in the preparation of project as-builts and protect and promote the interests of Turner and related matters.

Requirements:

• Two years of college education from an accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction, or a relevant field.
• Building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
• Demonstrate initiative and a desire to learn.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient with computer applications, data entry, and Microsoft suite of applications.
• Basic understanding of scheduling programs desired.

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position is typically an office or remote setting with occasional work at construction sites. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate in an office setting and moderate to loud at construction sites. Turner is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
