The Pediatric Medical Support Specialist plays a crucial role in a healthcare environment, assisting in both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
Shift Details:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Background Requirements:
Candidates must undergo a Child Protective Services background check and FBI fingerprinting prior to employment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (MOA, MAA, MA).
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, particularly in pediatrics or with special needs populations.
Licensure and Certifications:
Preferred current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent military medical experience. Current CPR certification is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective clinical services under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
- Provide essential clinical and non-clinical information to streamline patient visits.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of the working environment.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and instruments effectively.
- Assist with clerical duties as required.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Work Environment:
Expected to operate in a patient care setting with limited exposure to environmental hazards, including noise, dust, and temperature extremes. There may be exposure to communicable diseases and other challenging conditions inherent to patient care activities.
