Position Overview: The Grounds/Facility Support Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and preservation of the facility's environment, while also supporting production workflows and performing minor repairs at Sugaright.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established Work Instruction protocols for sanitation and chemical management.
- Conduct daily maintenance as per the Master Cleaning Schedule.
- Assist the Sanitation Technician when necessary.
- Ensure the exterior of the facility is maintained through activities such as pressure washing, gutter cleaning, and debris removal.
- Manage the receiving and unloading of raw materials, ensuring the storage area remains organized.
- Complete the Facility Maintenance Daily Cleaning Checklist accurately.
- Carry out basic repairs, painting, power washing, and operate floor scrubbers.
- Utilize powered industrial equipment, including floor scrubbers, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
- Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse storage area and collaborate with the production team for cleanups and waste disposal.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the diesel tank area and neutralization tank room.
- Report any incidents related to food safety and quality promptly.
- Document daily cleaning activities and any incidents as they occur.
- Coordinate with the Shift Coach to clean designated areas as time allows.
- Work closely with Load-Out Operators and Specialty Operators to ensure all areas are kept clean and orderly.
- Maintain equipment as instructed and ensure the work area is consistently clean.
- Perform sanitation on equipment as required.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality assurance processes.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Compensation: $22-22 Hourly Wage
Note: In the event of vacation or illness, the Tech 2 or Shift Coach will serve as the backup for this position.
