Job Summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing nutritional care to patients on assigned units and/or clinics, as well as educating hospital, school, and community groups on the science of nutrition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen patients according to level of need and assign level of care
  • Perform nutritional assessments of patients in assigned unit and/or clinic
  • Interact with other members of the healthcare team to facilitate and deliver effective patient care
  • Formulate nutrition care plans using laboratory data, medical diagnosis, etc. and document findings in medical records
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics-approved four-year program in Food and Nutrition or related field
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Massachusetts state license (LDN) required for outpatient dietitian positions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Massachusetts state license (LDN) preferred for inpatient dietitian positions
  • Ability to influence the quality of patient care in an advisory capacity to the physician and other healthcare team members
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing problems and making decisions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
