Job Summary:

The Respiratory Technician administers diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to facilitate the patient's breathing. He/she evaluates the respiratory care for appropriateness and effectiveness and communicates findings/results to other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates patient's respiratory status and develops a plan of care to meet their needs.
  • Administers diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitors patient's vital signs and reports any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Communicates with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective care.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • High School or GED (Required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Enrolled in Accredited Respiratory Care Program
  • Ohio Limited Permit or Ohio License
  • BLS Certification
