Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Prepared Foods Dishwasher to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dishroom and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares to ensure a clean and safe environment for our customers and team members.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area, adhering to our high standards of sanitation and safety.
  • Assist with kitchen deliveries, including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products to ensure efficient and effective inventory management.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and modeling suggestive selling techniques to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product, ensuring that our shelves are always fully stocked and visually appealing.
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing, and immediately reporting any safety hazards or violations.

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency. The role also requires the ability to work in wet and dry conditions, and to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
