Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of an airfield, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation operations, management, and security clearance.

The Main Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Managing airspace and air traffic control operations.
  • Oversseeing the management of ranges, outlying airfields, and operational plans.
  • Coodinating with functional directorates to establish and validate air station operational requirements.
  • Providing a full range of airfield and airfield support services.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • A minimum of one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration, DoD, DoN, and Marine Corps regulations concerning airspace management, special use airspace, navigational equipment, and airfield facilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
