Department Overview
Are you a dedicated CNA looking to enhance your career? Join our exceptional nursing team today Our facility, with a capacity of 55 beds, specializes in rehabilitation and senior living, conveniently located near a major city.
This full-time position for a Certified Nursing Assistant involves:
- Night shifts from 6 PM to 6:30 AM
- Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
- Location premium of $2.50 per hour
- Additional pay for straight night shifts and weekends
Position Summary
The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) acts as a proficient caregiver, delivering personalized nursing care and daily living assistance to residents in long-term care settings under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN).
The role requires:- Expertise in providing resident-centered care
- Knowledge of age-appropriate care aligned with individual care plans
- Adherence to infection control policies and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
The NA will support clinical staff while maintaining accountability for their own responsibilities, demonstrating leadership in problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Nursing Assistant will:
- Assist residents with essential daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Support residents in mobility and physical exercises
- Facilitate a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks
- Document resident interactions and communicate changes in condition to nursing staff
- Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with housekeeping tasks
- Encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A high school diploma or GED (preferred)
- A minimum age of 16
- Two years of experience in long-term care (preferred)
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Completion of annual continuing education requirements
