Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Nesco Resource. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in preparing medication for animal consumption under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medication for animal consumption in accordance with standard departmental procedures.
  • Perform duties assigned by a licensed pharmacist, including checking areas of work for maintenance of quality control.
  • Read and interpret veterinarian orders received in pharmacy and transcribe same onto a pharmacy computer medication profile.
  • Prepare compounds for use under direct pharmacist supervision, following pharmacy law and standards of pharmacy practice.
  • Check and remove outdated meds on a routine basis to ensure that no deteriorated meds are in stock.
  • Keep appropriate records.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of operation.
  • CPhT Certification preferred.

Competencies:

  • Perform basic math sufficient to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement correctly and consistently.
  • Operate a calculator proficiently.
  • Interact with computer software via a keyboard.
  • Punctuality and low absenteeism.
