We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at Kanguro Insurance. Your expertise in veterinary medicine will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our insurance policies and claims processing.
Key Responsibilities- Medical Record Review: Review and analyze veterinary medical records to assess the relevance and accuracy of the information provided.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with underwriters and claims adjusters to ensure accurate interpretation and application of medical information. Communicate effectively with veterinary clinics, pet owners, and internal teams to clarify and verify medical information.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development and updating of policy guidelines related to medical conditions and treatments.
- Insights and Recommendations: Provide insights and recommendations based on medical records to support the underwriting and claims processes.
- Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all medical record reviews.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of veterinary medicine, including new treatments and emerging health conditions in pets.
- Bilingual: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- License and Certification: Ability to secure P&C Adjuster License: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent education/certification/licensure.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or related field, with a strong focus on medical records management.
- Skills and Knowledge: Excellent understanding of veterinary medical terminology, diagnostics, and treatments. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing complex medical records. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Proficiency in using medical records software and other relevant computer applications. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
This job offers a salary range between USD $45,000 - $55,000.
