Job Title: Master Diesel Fleet Technician

About the Role:

The Master Diesel Fleet Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our food distribution system by performing major and minor repairs on fleet diesel equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete preventative maintenance and standard component inspections/repairs of fleet diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Utilize PFG tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
  • Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
  • Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
  • 5-7 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
