Job Summary:

The Surgical/Med-Surg Unit at Mercy Hospital Ardmore is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Surgical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgery and those requiring medical-surgical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing wound care, and monitoring vital signs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and safety

Requirements:

  • Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
