Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in our ICU Stepdown unit, you will provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care. Your expertise and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized care plans to address their unique requirements.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, responding promptly to changes or concerns.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring clear and respectful interactions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, such as ACLS or PALS, as required by the unit.
  • Experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU or stepdown setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
