Overview:
Actus Consulting Group is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Accounting Associate (Senior) to join our team in either Torrance, CA or New York City. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility in your work location.
Work Schedule:
8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)

Occasional overtime may be required during month-end close periods, typically limited to 5 hours per week.

Salary Range:
$45,000 - $80,000 based on experience and rank

Qualifications:
Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and/or tax is highly preferred. Candidates will be required to complete a brief exam covering accounting and tax topics during the interview process. A degree in accounting is advantageous, and while a CPA is not mandatory, it is considered a significant asset. Experience in other accounting firms or tax-related outsourcing firms is also beneficial.
Job Responsibilities:
Accounting Associate:
Responsibilities will include data entry, month-end closing procedures, tax return preparation, and other related tasks based on project assignments. You will collaborate closely with either a Senior or Manager.
Accounting Senior:
Responsibilities will involve managing client accounts, coordinating bookkeeping activities, and overseeing monthly and quarterly closing processes, as well as tax return preparations. You will work in conjunction with Managers or Senior Managers.
