We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor/Charge Nurse to join our team at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington. As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a key role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission to serve our community.

About the Role

The Clinical Supervisor/Charge Nurse will be responsible for ensuring the provision of safe and effective patient care after hours, on weekends, and on holidays. This includes assessing all departments to ensure continuity of care and reporting pertinent information to management and administration. The successful candidate will also be responsible for effectively communicating unusual occurrences or complaints for follow-up and intervening immediately when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate unusual occurrences or complaints for follow-up and intervene immediately when needed
  • Ensure the nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors
  • Ensure occurrence of appropriate documentation, including documentation of medical necessity, by staff in medical records; monitor completion and revisions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan
  • Assist to review and evaluate risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes in order to continually improve performance and outcomes; communicate this information to the nursing department
  • Assure education and training is provided to nursing staff on Quality Indicators (QIs); assure timely and accurate QI assessments and scoring are performed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Graduate of accredited registered nurse program with current licensure in the state; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required
  • Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitative or acute care setting and/or demonstrates leadership ability
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective oral and written communication skills, in English with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills required
  • Demonstrates problem-solving and critical thinking skills
