Job Summary:

Penske Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of inventory, shipments, and customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stage and sort products for loading
  • Operate the computer and use the program SAP to assign and depart trailers
  • Scan/load auto cages and triwalls into specific trailers and ensure they depart on time
  • Execute and provide process and project visibility to Operations Supervisor
  • Oversee and support 1-2 dock associates
  • Fill out and validate metrics reports
  • Expert in warehouse functions
  • Lead and comply with Safety and Well Being efforts on assigned shift
  • Open and close dock doors
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Sort and place parts in racks or other designated areas
  • Move materials within the warehouse
  • Quality control
  • Ensure damaged products are sent out and identify damaged products when received
  • Communicate with associates from other shifts
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and rf scanners
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
  • 4 years of warehouse experience required
  • 2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred
  • 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in distribution, warehousing, cross-dock, etc. required
  • Familiarity with SAP preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior forklift certification preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to learn and use proprietary software required
  • Must be able to drive processes, be detail-oriented, professional, deadline-driven, safety-conscious, & excellent communication skills
  • Flexible to work overtime preferred
  • Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.

The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
