The County of Riverside's Medical Center is seeking an experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse III for the Pediatric Critical Care Unit. This is a night-shift position requiring availability for four shifts, including two weekend shifts per month.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and provide nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with physician instructions.
- Administer prescribed treatment and medications, including dispensing as ordered to patients.
- Counsel and advise patients, families, and significant others regarding special medical problems and/or proper healthcare methods.
- Prepare and maintain concise and complete records and reports.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and act as a team leader or relief charge nurse.
- Current and valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- At least two years of PICU experience.
The County of Riverside offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a 401(a) Temporary and Part-Time Employees' Retirement Plan.
Please note that all employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical exam, including a drug/alcohol test, and a criminal background investigation.
