Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Boom Crane Operator to join our team at Builders FirstSource. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a boom crane to transport materials to construction sites and customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a boom crane to load and unload materials, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with drivers and other team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including weights, quantities, and locations.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and regulations, including those related to CDL licensing and boom crane operation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of driving experience and one year of boom crane operation experience preferred.
  • Valid CDL license and boom crane operator certification required.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently, and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a production environment with varying temperatures, hazardous chemicals, and mechanical parts. The ability to climb up and down into the crane cab, twist torso for 360-degree visibility, and use arms to operate controls is essential.
