Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Porter/Custodial to join our team at Big Y. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and janitorial duties to ensure a clean and organized store environment
  • Clean and sanitize high-traffic areas, including the meat cutting area, kitchen, and bakery area
  • Maintain proper department conditions and supplies, including racks, sales floor, bottle redemption area, closets, and workstations
  • Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
