KEA is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to enhance our data management capabilities. The successful candidate will focus on aggregating extensive data related to energy and commercial real estate, while also overseeing the backend framework. This role is essential in enabling our team to leverage data for impactful front-end visualizations.

The responsibilities include:

  • Automating and preparing data for key market filings
  • Maintaining and distributing detailed data for major commercial real estate markets, including leasing activities, sales comparisons, and ownership analysis
  • Utilizing geographic information systems (GIS) and platforms like Mapbox and ArcGIS to integrate with large datasets
  • Incorporating substantial oil and gas data into our systems
  • Designing and enhancing infrastructure to improve ETL processes across various data sources
  • Creating data pipelines to derive actionable insights
  • Collaborating with stakeholders from business development, marketing, and engineering to meet their data infrastructure requirements
  • Engaging in knowledge-sharing sessions within the team and across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Business Intelligence
  • Proficient in using shape files and platforms such as Mapbox or ArcGIS
  • Strong understanding of programming languages including Python, C#, R, and SQL
  • Experience with Data Factory/Data Bricks is advantageous
  • Web application development experience is a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with Tableau or Alteryx
  • Excellent analytical skills, particularly with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication abilities to articulate ideas and insights derived from data
