Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols of school facilities, including hallways, restrooms, parking areas, and surrounding locations to enforce school policies and safeguard against vandalism, theft, and other misconduct.
  • Issue citations for parking violations as necessary.
  • Implement varied patrol strategies to prevent predictability in monitoring.
  • Supervise student conduct, addressing misconduct and reporting significant violations to school authorities.
  • Assist in managing student activities in designated areas, including bus zones and physical education spaces, ensuring adherence to school policies.
  • Provide guidance to students needing direction to classes or administrative offices.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor to foster positive relationships with students.
  • Exercise sound judgment in reporting incidents without personal bias.
  • Utilize communication devices during patrol duties.
  • Confiscate prohibited items in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensure non-students vacate school premises and guide visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Verify authorization for students leaving class or campus during instructional time.
  • Distribute and collect educational materials as directed by teaching staff.
  • Support students in using educational equipment and technology.
  • Document observations and incidents related to student behavior for communication with faculty and administration.
  • Manage large groups during events, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Uphold standards of conduct and discipline as per school policies.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive records and reports.
  • Supervise students in classrooms when teachers are unavailable until appropriate personnel arrive.
  • Assist instructional staff in managing students awaiting administrative or law enforcement intervention.
  • Adhere to district policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training sessions as required.
  • Utilize safety equipment as necessary for the role.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Additional Duties:

  • Aid in preparing reports for potential disciplinary actions.
  • Attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
  • Relay communications between the school office and various stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all equipment is used and stored properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

Knowledge Required:
