Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical care to patients in emergency situations, including assessment, treatment, and transportation to definitive care facilities.

  • Participate in daily shift duties to maintain the medical component of the assigned vehicle equipment and supplies in a state of readiness to respond immediately to transport requests.
  • Attend all mandatory in-services, including staff meetings, procedure labs, and training offerings.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in Texas.
  • Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
  • At least 3 years (4000 hours) of experience as an RN in the Emergency Department and/or ICU.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds or more.

Working Conditions:

The Transport Air Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds or more. The nurse will be required to wear personal protective equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
