Financial Coordinator for Young Adult Services

Job Summary
The Young Adult Services Client Financial Coordinator role at Advanced Behavioral Health involves providing financial assistance and support to young adults aged 18-25. This position requires a combination of financial expertise and case management skills to help clients manage their funds and make informed financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Process and monitor fund requests, generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports for funds from Social Security or DMHAS Client Support Fund dollars.
- Provide superior customer service and work closely with the YAS clinical team to fulfill fiduciary obligations for clients.
- Teach budgeting skills to young adults and represent ABH in a positive and professional manner.
- Act as a liaison between the Financial Unit, Treatment team, Vendors, and the ABH Finance Department.
- Communicate with the Treatment team on request processing, documentation, and client information changes.
- Handle Vendor inquiries and distribute checks/cash to clients or YAS Case Managers.
- Ensure accurate client support fund account balances and obtain client/staff signatures for transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a social service field or related field.
- Experience working with Behavioral Health consumer populations and basic/intermediate accounting/budgeting experience.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn computer programs/applications designed for this program.
