Position Overview:
The Program Dietitian plays a crucial role in delivering nutrition therapy to clients enrolled in intensive programming. This position involves conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, crafting tailored care plans, and monitoring clients' ongoing medical and nutritional conditions. The Program Dietitian also provides educational resources aimed at enhancing clients' nutritional knowledge and their relationship with food.
Work Schedule:
This is a Part-Time position (0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week) that is fully remote. Program hours vary throughout the year:
- Fall/Winter/Spring: Monday to Thursday, 2 PM - 7 PM
- Summer: Monday to Thursday, 8 AM - 1 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nutrition therapy to assigned clients.
- Conduct thorough nutrition assessments in line with established policies and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate group nutrition education sessions as required.
- Provide active meal coaching and support during Therapeutic Supported Meals.
- Engage in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to treatment planning.
- Coordinate nutrition-specific transition and aftercare planning, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external dietitians.
- Maintain clear and professional documentation of all nutrition care within the EHR system, adhering to compliance standards.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in both site-based and national Quality Assurance initiatives.
- Ensure clinical records are maintained in accordance with Accanto policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian credential is mandatory.
- Current state license (where applicable) is required.
- ServSafe Food Handler certification is essential.
- Additional food safety certifications may be required based on state or local regulations.
- Preferred: At least one year of clinical experience, particularly in eating disorders.
