Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at the Central Prison Healthcare Complex in Raleigh, NC. As a Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric services to mentally ill offenders, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. You will also be responsible for inpatient units and occasional outpatient duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric services to mentally ill offenders, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Manage inpatient units and provide occasional outpatient services as needed
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for offenders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Supervise and train other allied mental health staff
Requirements
  • License to practice medicine in the State of North Carolina
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role, training role, or instructing other allied health staff
  • Ability to assess and interpret laboratory results, clinical data, and information relative to the patient's condition
  • Ability to compile clear and concise notes for patient charts
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with occasional on-call duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
