As a pivotal figure in this transformative journey, you will collaborate with our dedicated teams to manufacture the batteries essential for achieving excellence in the electric vehicle industry.
Ford and SK On are committing substantial investments in Kentucky and Tennessee, which includes the establishment of three cutting-edge battery production facilities across the two campuses. These state-of-the-art facilities will leverage Ford's century-long expertise in automobile manufacturing and SK On's extensive experience in electric vehicle battery technology, positioning us as the premier battery manufacturer globally.
The Senior Six Sigma Leader at BlueOval SK will have an extraordinary opportunity to play a crucial role in the launch of our new facility from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will focus on utilizing Six Sigma methodologies to enhance various operational aspects within the facility, including but not limited to:
- Developing and executing the BOSK Six Sigma strategy within the manufacturing environment
- Mentoring Plant OCM, Black Belts, and Green Belts in advanced problem-solving techniques and Six Sigma practices
- Guiding and supporting problem-solving teams at BOSK facilities and their suppliers
- Conducting Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt training sessions, assisting students in their certification journey
- Instructing on Production Standard methods, including project selection and adherence to standards
- Coaching and mentoring Black Belts and Green Belts in the effective application of Six Sigma tools to complete projects
- Leading Six Sigma Kaizen initiatives to address significant operational challenges
- Overseeing Six Sigma continuous improvement projects aimed at resolving critical issues
- Collaborating with other business units to share best practices and Six Sigma insights

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Extensive production experience
- Strong ability to engage with plant personnel and management
- Proven track record of delivering measurable results that enhance plant performance
- Robust statistical analysis skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Understanding of Production Standard principles and continuous improvement strategies
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage crises effectively
- Capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Exemplary leadership behaviors complemented by outstanding communication and team-building skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or substantial manufacturing experience
- Master Black Belt Certification or the ability to obtain certification within three months
