Snowmaker

Alyeska Resort is seeking skilled Snowmakers to join our team. As a Snowmaker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy the best possible skiing and snowboarding conditions.

• Operate and maintain artificial snowmaking equipment on ski trails.
• Set up, relocate, and dismantle snowmaking equipment to maximize snow coverage.
• Adjust snow guns for optimal performance under varying temperatures.
• Remove ice buildup on snow machines and hoses.
• Maintain a safe working environment for both team members and guests.
• Safely operate and maintain snow cats, snowmobiles, and hoses.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with fellow snowmakers and resort staff to achieve shared goals.

• Ability to work in variable weather conditions and adapt to changing environments.
• Flexibility to accommodate an extremely flexible work schedule.
• Reliability and accessibility via telephone for on-call duty.
• Capability to work well under pressure.
• Prior experience preferred (required for Snowmaker II or above).
• Strong customer service skills with good verbal and written communication abilities.
• Manual dexterity and a firm grasp for using tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Proficiency in skiing or snowboarding on ungroomed surfaces.
