About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Advocate to join our team at RevOne Companies. As a Patient Advocate, you will play a critical role in helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of healthcare and access the resources they need.
Key Responsibilities:- Learn and Master Application Processes: Develop expertise in state and federal programs, including Medicaid and the Federal Marketplace, to ensure seamless access to healthcare services.
- Organizational and Administrative Skills: Demonstrate exceptional organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, to manage multiple client cases and maintain accurate records.
- Client Communication: Communicate positively and effectively with clients, providing clear and concise information to support their needs, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- System Navigation: Develop the ability to navigate multiple systems, including hospital systems and state systems, to access and provide information to clients, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departmental associates and healthcare professionals to support the efforts of the team and achieve shared goals, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Confidentiality and HIPAA Compliance: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times, ensuring the protection of sensitive client information, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Professional Development: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a willingness to learn new and complex tasks, and stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Computer Proficiency: Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in multiple databases and software applications, to efficiently manage client data and communicate with stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, and provide clear and concise information to support client needs.
- Mathematical Reasoning and Computational Skills: Possess good mathematical reasoning and computational skills, with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data accurately, to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and communication, to provide a solid base for professional development and growth.
- Experience as a Patient Advocate: Possess one year of experience as a Patient Advocate or an equivalent combination of training and experience, to bring valuable knowledge and skills to the role.
- Knowledge of Medicaid Programs: Have considerable knowledge of Medicaid programs, specifically in Illinois, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide expert guidance to clients.
- Knowledge of the Federal Marketplace: Possess considerable knowledge of the Federal Marketplace, with a willingness to obtain a Health Insurance License, to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks and provide expert guidance to clients.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $19.00 per hour based on experience
