Our Facility:
Hale Makua Health Services is a non-profit organization based in Maui, dedicated to improving the well-being of our residents through personalized and compassionate health services. Our Kahului location features a 254-bed nursing facility focused on enriching the lives of Maui's Elders.
Role Responsibilities:
As an Activities Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored activities that cater to the individual needs and interests of our residents. You will lead group activities and engage with residents on a personal level as directed by the Activities Director.
- Conduct one-on-one visits with residents to offer friendly interaction, physical activity, emotional support, sensory engagement, reality orientation, and intellectual stimulation.
- Participate in both individual and group activities alongside residents and other care teams.
- Provide feedback to the Activities Director regarding residents' responses and document their progress as required.
- Accompany residents on outings and operate the facility's Handy Van as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid Driver's License is necessary.
- Experience in a recreational setting or with group activities is preferred.
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (available in-house).
