Position Overview

The Fitness Center Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all members, potential members, and visitors by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome members, potential members, and guests, providing outstanding customer service.

- Duties may include:
  • Answering phone calls in a courteous manner and assisting callers with various inquiries.
  • Checking members into the system efficiently.
  • Facilitating new member registrations.
  • Conducting tours for prospective members.
  • Updating member accounts as necessary.
  • Addressing member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when required.
  • Performing thorough cleaning in all areas of the gym.
Qualifications

- Previous experience in customer service is preferred.

- Basic computer skills are necessary.

- A positive and energetic demeanor is essential.

- Punctuality and dependability are critical.

- Excellent customer service abilities; capable of interacting positively and professionally with members and colleagues, exceeding their expectations.

- Strong listening skills with the capacity to empathize and resolve issues.

- Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.

- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

- Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements

- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.

- Frequent communication in person or via phone is required.

- Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
