Shift A: 6:00am-2:30pm daily, off Mondays and Tuesdays

Shift C: 6:00am-2:30pm daily, off Friday and Saturday

Shift D: 11:00am-7:30pm daily, off Mondays and Tuesdays

Shift E: 11:00am-7:30pm daily, off Thursdays and Fridays

Shift F: 11:00am-7:30pm daily, off Tuesday and Wednesday

Shift G: 11:30am-3:30pm daily, off Sunday, Thursday and Friday

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills:

Strong attention to detail and adherence to health and safety regulations. Outstanding customer service abilities, particularly in patient interactions. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Core Duties

Prepare various stations on the central tray-line with all necessary food and non-food items for meal service. Clean and organize assigned areas post-service, returning items to their designated locations. Serve meals cafeteria style to patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring high standards of service. Set up service areas with condiments, utensils, and glassware for dining. Deliver meals to tables, ensuring timely replenishment while maintaining professionalism. Load and transport food carts to patient care units. Distribute meal trays and/or snacks to specific locations or directly to patients, showing kindness and respect. Collect used trays and return them to the dish-room for cleaning. Assemble salads and cold sandwiches from prepped ingredients and prepare box lunches. Conduct cold food preparation and assemble menu items including entrees, sides, and desserts. Operate and maintain the dishwasher, ensuring cleanliness and functionality. Perform cleaning duties in the dish-room, including sorting and stacking tray ware. Scrub and clean larger cooking utensils as necessary. Conduct thorough cleaning throughout the food service areas, including equipment and floors. Maintain cleanliness in walk-in refrigerators and freezers. Unload and store food deliveries in appropriate storage areas. Undertake additional duties as assigned to support food service operations. Assist colleagues in the ingredient control room as needed. Dispose of kitchen waste properly.

Required Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in food service or a related field is preferred. Ability to follow directions and work independently or collaboratively. Strong commitment to cleanliness and attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patients and staff. Physical capability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to pass any required background checks.
