Job Overview

MetaSense Inc is seeking a skilled Histology Specialist to join our team in the Histology Lab. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue samples for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and processing tissue specimens from surgical procedures
  • Accurately accessioning specimens into our laboratory information system
  • Collaborating with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results
  • Performing histological processing, embedding, cutting, and staining of slides
  • Ensuring compliance with laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in histology or a related field
  • ASCP certification or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of histological techniques and laboratory procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Work Schedule

Our Histology Lab operates on a Sunday-Thursday schedule, with shifts from 11pm to 7:30am. This schedule may require working major holidays, including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day, as well as one minor holiday.
