Job Description

MKEC Engineering Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join our team in Oklahoma City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and executing various projects related to land development, public works, transportation, industrial/energy, architectural engineering, and electric utility design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage assigned surveys, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Survey Preparation: Prepare topographic, property boundary, and engineering design surveys, as well as construction staking.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, instruction, and leadership to staff members, ensuring effective collaboration and teamwork.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise in GPS, Total Station, laser levels, and data collection systems to deliver high-quality results.
  • Business Acumen: Assist in budget preparation and tracking, as well as processing survey data and drawing production.
Requirements:
  • Professional License: Possess a PLS license in Oklahoma or be on track to obtain it.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Autodesk and/or MicroStation, with experience in GPS, Total Station, laser levels, and data collection systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical demands of site visits and related travel.
  • Compliance: Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol and safety programs.
